Abstract: Over the years there have been various efforts by the Central Bank of Nigeria to influence the overall performance of economy, this help the financial services sector to growth but the real sector has not grown robustly. This study therefore appraises the monetary policy regimes in Nigeria as it relates to the role of CBN policy objectives from 1986-2018, by examining the use MRR and MPR as policy instrument. The selected macroeconomic variables used are minimum rediscount rate (MRR), monetary policy rate (MPR), Output, inflation (INF), interest rate (IR), money supply (M1 &M2), and exchange rate (EXGR). Abstract: The study investigates the impact of liquidity management on Islamic and conventional banks profitability in Nigeria for the period 2012-2019. First bank plc and Jaiz bank were both used to represent the conventional and Islamic banks in Nigeria respectively. Time series data were sourced from the quarterly bulletin of selected banks used for the study. Time series data were first subjected to preliminary analysis (descriptive statistics, unit root test & co-integration test) so as to ascertain the background characteristics of dataset. The ordinary least square estimation technique was used to capture the relationship between liquidity and profitability. Liquidity was measured by the liquid asset to total asset ratio (LATA), current ratio and cash ratio while bank size was used as a control variable. Abstract: The core problem that necessitated this study is the total negligence of the informal economy in policy development, National income estimates despite the significant role it plays in terms of job creation, income to the teaming population and the poorest households. The study aims to establish the predictive and long run relationship between informal sector and unemployment rate in Nigeria and to determine the effect of the credit to private sector on employment rate in Nigeria. The research employed the use of descriptive statistic, Unit Root test, Co-Integration test, Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) and the Granger Causality. Abstract: This paper examined the impact of monetary policy on economic growth in Nigeria. The Vector Auto-regression Technique (VAR) was used to analyse data between 1980-2017. The result of this paper shows that monetary policy represented by money supply (M2) has a positive impact on economic growth proxy with RGDP. Monetary policy variables-interest rate, money supply, exchange rate and liquidity ratio all had a negative and non significant relationship with inflation. This paper however recommends that the gap between monetary policy formulation and implementation should be bridged so as to ensure the attainment of the set goals, there should be coordination between fiscal and monetary policy measures and that the formal and informal credit sector of the economy so as to prevent counter effect to the monetary policy.

Abstract: The current global market uses education as the critical parameter in assessing the ability of one to fit in the job market. Since education is crucial to the development of a sustainable environment, reforms are continually undertaken in the sector to ensure better performance. This study was carried out to investigate the effects of economic, social and school-related factors on the academic performance of randomly sampled students from schools in Kuria West sub-county, in Kenya. The study modeled academic performance as dependent on social, economic and school factors guided by education production function theory. In data analysis, a combination of descriptive statistics and regression analysis were used. The study established that household social and economic factors and economic factors influence academic performance of students. The study recommends that policies that help increase household incomes and those that provide support towards scholarships for vulnerable students and construction of spacious classrooms are important for enhancing performance.

Abstract: This study assessed the response of per capita growth to remittance net-flow in Nigeria from 1980 to 2017. The study employed V AR impulse response methodology using the data from World Bank Remittance fact book, Central Bank of Nigeria statistical bulletin and the World Bank indicators. Result from the analysis showed that per capita growth response to shocks from the remittance net-flow in Nigeria was mostly positive in the periods under review. However, introducing exchange rate regime switch dummy into the model the response did not produce consistent positive effect on per capita growth in Nigeria. Based on these, the study recommended that the government need to remove unnecessary restrictions and cost of movements especially when it involves the movement of her nationals to places like where most of the remittance inflows comes from especially when migrating as a professional.

Abstract: Conventional Indian handloom enjoys a global reputation as well as national prestige in terms nature and quality of product and its rich demand both in India as well as abroad. However, the weavers undergo enormous challenges related to their occupational survival in the post modernity era wherethe biggest challenge is problem of large production in this social cum capitalist world. The study aims to analyse the socio-economic conditions of the weavers and offer possible recommendations to mitigate their plight. This study is based on primary data collected through interview schedules schedules from a random set of seventy weavers residing in ChiralaMandal of Andhra Pradesh. The result of the study reveals the major problems which have been engaging by the weavers both at economical and non-economicalcausational ground. The results of the study also detail their expenditure on merit and demerit goods and services such as education, health, food, and non-food items, liquor consumption smoking, etc during the study period..

Abstract: In this paper an attempt has been made to provide a comparative picture of inter- district infrastructure and economic development in Uttrakhand. It is based on district level secondary data.
